The Most Spectacular Maltina Dance All Season 6 hits TV Screens September 2nd

Popular family reality television show, Maltina Dance All (MDA) which enters its sixth season this year has continued to attach value-added trappings to entertainment circles across many Nigerian cities. This year’s regional auditions which held across six cities, assumed a carnival-like jamboree as contestants in their thousands, converged at the various venues of the auditions. The sublime dance skills exhibited by contestants both young and old, across the different regions where the auditions held is succinctly captured by the theme of this year’s Maltina Dance All, “The Most Spectacular”.

The auditions were indeed packed with fun and excitement. For contestants who made it through to the final eight, it was a feeling of extreme happiness for them as they got a step closer to the 6 million naira, family car star grand prize and stardom. For those who fell short of the mark, it was an opportunity for them to go back and work harder and keep pushing. The competitiveness of this year’s audition was by far more intense than any other. The dexterity of the dance contestants, posed a challenge in the selection of winners.

MDA 6 regional auditions, held across 6 major cities in Nigeria namely, Abuja, Enugu, Ibadan, Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Benin. The auditions kicked-off simultaneously in Benin and Port-Harcourt. The auditions which ran for two days in each of the centres except Lagos which lasted for three days, had contestants compete for the instant prizes as well as making it to the academy. There were four age categories of 5-12, 13-19, 20-30 and 30 years and above.  Winners in all the categories went home with Generator sets, while the first runners up went home with TV sets and the second runners up were rewarded with Home theatres. At the end of the auditions, eight contestants each qualified from each region. They will proceed to the next stage of medicals and family screening. Fifteen families have been selected to go into the Maltina Academy.
