euronews moves to channel 414 on DStv

MultiChoice’s DStv will from today be moving euronews TV news channel from channel 404 to channel 414. If you recall Nigerian news channel NN24 use to be on channel 414 till when it’s contract with MultiChoice was terminated late last month.

Also MultiChoice Africa wishes to advise DStv subscribers that Inspiration TV (channel 350) and IQRAA (channel 346) will be terminating on 7 September and 15 September respectively on the E36B (W7) platform.

MultiChoice considers a number of key factors when assessing the viability of a channel on the platform; these include the cost of distribution, the channel offering within the context of similar channels in that genre, subscriber feedback and the number of viewers and popularity of that channel.

MultiChoice Africa has reached a mutual agreement with the various channel distributors to terminate Inspiration TV and IQRAA on the E36B (W7) platform.
