Emmys 2012: Winners List – Did Your Favorites Win?

The 64^th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards is now upon us, and the battle for television’s coveted award has been decided. If you’re not able to watch the awards (or don’t want to sit through hours of scripted award presenters), you can find a list of winners below, updated live as they’re announced.

Though some have complained of Emmy nominations in years past, this year’s Emmys reflect audience viewer choices more than ever before.

Leading in the drama category, it’s going to be difficult to knock AMC off of their nomination throne. With 35 nominations on their network alone, AMC’s two departing series, Breaking Bad and Mad Men, may just sweep the drama awards this year.

Not without its own battle, all eyes will be on Louis C.K. and Lena Dunham in the comedy category, for their work on FX’s Louie and HBO’s Girls, respectively. Still, when one brings up battles in comedy, it’s impossible not to mention television comedy juggernaut, Modern Family. In past years Modern Family has all-but swept the awards. Can Louis C.K. and Dunham help turn television’s comedic tide?

Additionally, Peter Dinklage received another Emmy nod for Game of Thrones, Idris Elba is nominated for Luther, and Sherlock duo Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman (as well creator Steven Moffat) also received nominations. Will CBS’s Elementary receive the same fanfare?
