Picks of the Day: Tuesday 25th September, 2012

The wait is nearly over. So You Think You Can Dance, the Emmy-nominated hit dance competition, returns for a ninth season. Hosted by Cat Deeley, So You think You Can Dance travelled across America to New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas and Salt Lake City in search of the most talented dancers who are worthy of performing on the show.

Those who shine during auditions are given a ticket to Las Vegas for callbacks, where they work with top choreographers to learn and then be judged on multiple styles of dance.

Contestants perform a particular style of dance each week with a partner. The audience votes on their favourite couple leaving the three couples with the least votes up for elimination.

After each dancer performs a solo of their choice for resident judges, Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, one male and one female contestant will be eliminated.

Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance starts Tuesday 25 September 2012 7:30pm WAT only on M-Net West
