Gulder Ultimate Search Season 9: Episode 11 (Ujam Gets Evicted!)
If there was any notion that males are better archers, the Gulder Ultimate Search 9 female warriors have dismissed that view. They proved to be better with the bow and arrow than the male contenders.
The day’s challenge was the Archer’s Quest, a Gatekeeper’s challenge. It featured the return of Michael Nwachukwu to Gulder Ultimate Search as a Gatekeeper. The contenders were required to aim their arrows at a target which had numbers 1 to 5 in circles. After hitting target, the contenders would then pick puzzles from a set of baskets which had numbers corresponding with those on the target. The higher the numbers the contenders target, the easier the puzzle to be solved – with number one being the most difficult and number five being the hardest.
Contenders who do not successfully aim at any target after two trials will have to solve puzzles from baskets 1 and 5.
Both Uzor Osimpka and Onyinye Udodi hit number 5; Adah James hit number 3, the trio of Priscilla Ezeh, Bornford Patience and Michael Ogbuefi hit number 2, Paschal Eronmose hit number 1. Ifet Iniobong, Nuhu Zigwayi and Ujam Emmanuel missed targets and had to solve puzzles from baskets 1 and 5.
Uzor emerged the game’s winner while Ujam was the loser, thus marking the end to his Gulder Ultimate Search 9 journey. Ironically, Ujam finished his puzzle much earlier, but did not realize that the pieces were fitted upside down.
Uzor could not hold back the tears when Chidi Mokeme, the Anchor man, announced Ujam’s exit. Whilst she said she was joyous at her victory, Ujam’s loss saddened her. She described Ujam as a source of strength and inspiration for her. “He has kind words all the time, he is noble, he is the most resourceful person on the camp”, she stated.
Later that evening, the contestants practiced the dance drama for presentation to the Council of Elders.
