Int’l Friendly: Nigeria vs Venezuela LIVE on SuperSport 5 from 2am WAT on Thursday morning

Thursday’s international friendly between the Super Eagles and Venezuela at the Marlins Stadium, Miami, will be live on your World of Champions.

It is the first pre-Afcon warm-up match for Nigeria and SuperSport will give the masses at home a unique opportunity to watch several domestic and Europe-based stars fight for a spot in the 23-man squad to travel to South Africa in January.


Despite the absence of Chelsea stars, John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, the Eagles still have a bunch of talented stars ready to use against Venezuela to secure their positions for the Afcon showpiece.

It will mark the return of Levante forward, Obafemi Martins from international wilderness, while Newcastle’s Shola Ameobi is expected to make his long-awaited Nigerian debut.

Central defenders, Azubuike Egwueke and Godfrey Oboabona, who were on duty against Liberia in the last Afcon qualifier lead the home based lads.

Two late inclusions, Bright Dike, who plays for Portland Timbers in America’s Major League Soccer and Sharks forward, Gomo Onduku, are also set to make their debut.

The match is live on Thursday morning 15 November 2012 2am WAT on SuperSport 5.

    Keshi should start from here to show the picture of what is going to happen in S/A 2013 Afcon by demonstrating operation don’t under rate any team. The manifestation of this struggle would help a lot during the turnament.
