Raypower Grassroot Station “Faaji FM 106.5” Starts Full-Transmission
If you stay in Lagos or parts of the south west region of Nigeria, tune in to 106.5 FM today, you are sure to find a station playing all sorts of music in Yoruba and Pidgin English. Yes, Faaji FM officially started full transmission midnight December 1, 2012, with Managing Director radio services Daar Communications, Kenny Ogungbe kicking off the transmission.
The station is a new one from the stable of Dr. Raymond Dokpesi’s Daar Communications Plc to delight radio listeners. The new station will run 70% in Yoruba and 30% Pidgin English.
Ambrose Somide, popular co-anchor of Minijojo Yoruba programme on AIT, will direct the affairs of new grassroots radio station.
