BEAT FM Begins Operations In Ibadan

On January 1, 2013, Beat FM 97.9 ’The Heart Beat of Ibadan’ went live on air, officially launching operations. Auditions took place in  February 2012 and some staff have already been hired.

The Beat started in Lagos as commercial entertainment, music and information radio station targeted at an informed audience in the 15-35 age group started off in 2008 by Chris Ubosi and as grown to be one of the top hit music radio station in Lagos.
