BBC Knowledge to bring viewers a story on the wildlife of Africa
No other continent grips the imagination quite like Africa. Nowhere is more savage, more dangerous, yet more beautiful and alive. Africa will air from Sunday, 17 February at 5pm WAT on BBC Knowledge, channel 184 on DStv.
This series travels the length and breadth of the continent, unveiling the newest, the most surprising and the most spectacular wildlife. From the beauty and serenity of the soaring Atlas Mountains to the Cape of Good Hope, from the brooding jungles of the Congo to the raging Atlantic Ocean, Africa reveals intimate encounters with the mesmerising creatures that live in the wild terrain of this extraordinary landscape.
Each film focuses on a different region – the Great Cape, the Kalahari, the Serengeti, the Congo and the Sahara, where pivotal moments in animals’ lives are portrayed in a thrilling, dramatic way.
Africa reveals both the intimate and the epic side to life on this vast continent, and captures never seen before behaviour of even the most familiar wildlife.
Africa will be broadcast from Sunday, 17 February at 18:00 on BBC Knowledge, channel 184 on DStv. The series will continue every Sunday at 5pm WAT.
