Walking Dead: catch-up on what you missed on the newly re-refurbished FOX this Friday 12 April

Did you know? … The Walking Dead doesn’t refer to the zombies. No-no. The title refers to the living characters in the show – the humans. I’ve always assumed that it refers to the zombies – especially because Rick & Co. call the zombies “Walkers” – but I discovered the trippy truth this week.

If you haven’t watched the show yet you’ll be able to see the series from the beginning with the advantage of knowing the truth about the title before you watch.

Season 1 starts on the newly refurbished Fox channel this Friday (12 April) at 8:45pm WAT, on both StarTimes and DStv (which will be airing in HD for the first time in Africa).

As you probs know, the channel launched in HD on DStv this past Tuesday (9 April) and it’s looking hot. I popped in to see what was happening on Tuesday night and was very impressed with the picture quality and charismatic vibe of the channel.

The channel will be rebroadcasting all of the seasons of Walking Dead so far so that everyone watching on both platforms will be up to date when Season 4 arrives later this year.

Season 1 has six episodes and will be followed by Season 2 – keep a lookout on talkmedia Nigeria for the premiere dates of Seasons 2 and 3.

NOTIFICATION: Please note that on Fox broadcasting is in 16:9. The channel will no longer be available in 4:3. Please adjust your aspect ration on your TV for the best possible viewing.
