Emmy Winners 2013: The Complete List

The 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards are underway at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the ceremony, which is being broadcast live on M-Net.

AMC’s Breaking Bad notched its first outstanding drama win, while ABC’sModern Family took outstanding comedy series. HBO’s Behind the Candelabra won big, taking best miniseries or movie. Star Michael Douglas and director Steven Soderbergh also took home statuettes.Modern Family won outstanding comedy series, though its stars were shut out in the acting categories.

Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie) won the evening’s first award, for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series, walking off without giving much of a speech. Tina Fey and Tracey Wigfield won the comedy writing award for 30 Rock, marking Fey’s eighth win. (She has six statuettes for 30 Rock and two forSaturday Night Live). Tony Hale (Veep) nabbed outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series and his Veep costar Julia Louis-Dreyfus won outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.

Modern Family‘s Gail Mancuso became the second woman ever to win outstanding directing for a comedy series, and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) nabbed outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.

Late Homeland writer Henry Bromell won the Emmy for outstanding writing in a drama series, and Breaking Bad‘s Anna Gunwon outstanding supporting actress in a drama. In an upset win, Bobby Cannavale nabbed outstanding supporting actor in a drama for Boardwalk EmpireJeff Daniels took home a win for lead drama actor in The Newsroom.

Netflix notched a win with David Fincher‘s outstanding drama directing award for House of Cards.The Colbert Report took home wins for outstanding variety series and writing for a variety series.James Cromwell took home a statuette for outstanding supporting actor in a miniseries or movie for American Horror Story: Asylum.
