Kendrick Lamar is the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards’ big winner with five awards + Complete winners list

Kendrick Lamar’s vibe remained intact during Tuesday’s (October 15) televised 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards. Not only did Compton’s good kid thrill the fans with his fiery bars in the award show’s much-talked about cypher, but K-Dot took was the night’s biggest winner, taking home five awards including the Lyricist of the Year and Album of the Year.

Drake came in a close second, and though the Nothing Was the Same MC wasn’t present at the show’s taping September 28 taping in Atlanta, he won four awards including Best Hip-Hop Video for “Started From the Bottom.”

The 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards airs Friday in Africa and the UK on BET International at 8pm (WAT).
