Festive fun on Cartoon Network and Boomerang

With the festive season fast approaching and school holidays nearing, Cartoon Network and Boomerang would like to invite families to watch the spectacular programming and entertainment that they have lined up on DStv channels 301 and 302 this December and January.

Kicking off the festive cheer will be a whole day Cartoon Network Christmas special on Wednesday, 25 December, featuring Christmas themed episodes, specials and movies. Everyone can look forward to some great Cartoon Network favourites and brand new episodes. Premiering as part of Cartoon Network Cinema at 07:00 will be Regular Show: The Christmas Special. It features one of Santa’s elves developing a toy that can make any wish come true, even wishing the end of Christmas, but Mordecai, Rigby and the gang won’t have anything to do with this and they go to great lengths to destroy it. Some of the other shows will include Christmas flavoured episodes of Adventure Time, Ben 10and The Amazing World of Gumball.

Classic cartoons, Christmas style
For the younger fans and old faithful classic cartoon lovers, things don’t get any less exciting. Tune in to Boomerang on Wednesday, 25 December, from 11:00 to watch some amazing Christmas themed episodes of their favourite cartoons. New to the line-up will be a Looney Tunes themed A Christmas Carol and after this, fans will be able to catch some more of their favourite cartoon characters such as Garfield, Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones and Tom & Jerry to name but a few, to end a Christmas filled classic cartoon day.

But that is not the end of the good news. There will also be some great shows to look forward to cheering you on well into the New Year. Tom and Jerry will return as the stars of the New Year on Boomerang when everyone’s favourite pets play some cat and mouse games with their hallmark animated slapstick comedy. Catch an all-day New Year’s Day marathon on Boomerang, channel 302, on the first day of the New Year.

On Cartoon Network, viewers won’t miss out either as they can be sure to start the New Year off in a good mood whilst catching up with a whole day of the hit animated sitcom The Amazing World of Gumball. The Wattersons will once again be at the top of their hilarious game on DStv channel 301 from 07:45 on Wednesday, 1 January 2014. Be sure not to miss this very wacky, but wonderful family as they deal with their simple everyday issues in their own special way.
