AUDIO: Jayso FT. A.I – Making Tasha Proud

Ghanaian Hip-Hop icon, Jayso, has finally released the 1st single to his upcoming album. “Making Tasha Proud” is the title of the song and it features a sensational singer/rapper called A.I (Ayisi Ican).

This song is definitely one of the best hip-hop songs to come out of Ghana. From the production to the lyrics, every single aspect of this work is a master-piece. No wonder it took so long for Jayso to finally release it and if you know Jayso then you he does not release just anything. We have come to accept that quality and positive lyrics are his trademarks.

Last year, Jayso released a song titled “Mentions”, he called it a warm-up/intro to his upcoming album. The creativity behind that song was mind-blowing and easily caught the attention of many Ghanaians. Shortly after, Jayso went into hiding to complete his album. The question is, has he?

On June 6th 2014, Jayso organized an “Album Sampling Party” at the plush African Regent Hotel in Accra. He kept the event a secret, the Producer/Artist hand-picked 30 special people from various fields to attend the listening session and listen to the album. According to Jayso, this was his way of letting people know that the album is ready. The special guests were taken through 22 tracks. The guests contributed by making comments, sharing ideas and criticizing the tracks. Jayso mentioned that the album has not been finalized so he can take the criticism, go back into the studio and make changes. Some of the invited people were, Ms. Naa of YFM, Aya Morrison (Fashion Designer), Ameyaw Debrah (Entertainment Blogger), George Britton (www.ghanamusic.com) and many more. He announced his first single and premiered the first episode of his video diaries.

From what we heard, this album is definitely going to be a Hip-Hop classic. It’s been long overdue and we can confidently say that Jayso’s album is finally coming and totally worth the wait.
