Suits on M-Net goes on a one week short production break

Suits -Harvey & Mike

Manhattan’s top corporate lawyers Harvey and Mike, and the rest of the legal eagles in Suits, will not be able to make their weekly appointment with M-Net viewers this weekend (Saturday, 5 July), but from next week Saturday they will visit local fans even closer to their latest appearances on US television.

After an short production break was added to the series’ production schedule, Suits Season 4 will return to American screens with episode 4 next week Wednesday (9 July). A mere three days later, on Saturday 12 July, M-Net viewers will see this very same episode.

“These days, M-Net is bringing some of the very best international series as close as possible to their US debuts – for the benefit of viewers who want to consume these high-profile series while they’re hot and happening around the world, “explains M-Net’s Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard. “It’s incredible to think that we can now screen these series while they are still in production, but this also means that we have to slot into the sometimes unpredictable international schedule. If there’s an added production break, or if an episode has not been broadcast yet, we have to change our programme schedule as well.”

“In this case, it’s good news for all of us who suffer from Suits FOMO. The added production break is bringing us even closer to the US screenings!”

The programme schedule for Saturday, 5 July, now features The Leftovers Season 1 at 23:00.

Why not get ready for Suits’ return on Saturday, 12 July by catching up on DStv Catch Up?

Dear MNET/DSTV don’t think that us viewers are that Stupid!!

You bombard us with promo’s to tell us how SUITS was on a production break this past Saturday, meanwhile, you launched the 4th season with a Back-to-Back viewing of Episode
1 & 2.. but in actual fact had you just aired them in consecutive weeks.. we wouldn’t have a break at all..!!

You then proceed to replace the Episode of SUITS with the Pilot Episode of THE LEFTOVERS, but in your wisdom (sic) the Episode was longer then the 60 mins allowed on the EPG.. So, for any viewer like me, who decided to record it on the PVR, the last few minutes were cut off.. You also then failed to load it on Catch Up.. So Now I have to record it again, just to catch the ending.. .

Really.. It’s time you people got your shit together and stopped moving the schedules around like bumper cars.. It’s bad enough that Saturday night is full of repeats of all the other stuff we’ve already viewed/recorded or can see on Catch-up during the week..

It’s time to divorce the HD/Premium MNET service from the terrestrial/ cheaper options for viewers who are only to glad to catch the repeats, because they work during the week.. (the old channel 170 & 101 – should never have joined in the first place)

On top of all that I still have to pay extra to see a movie on Box Office that should actually be on your Premium Movie Channel..

For the first time EVER!! I am starting to think the DSTV is a becoming a waste of money.. Either you don’t have a clue about scheduling or are just plain stupid, but either way.. STOP treating us viewers like idiots..

PS… Stop showing us minute long promos 10 times a night about a Sunday Night Movie that aired three weeks ago.. I mean really.. is your promo budget that tight that you can’t afford a new promo each week..??

I could carry on.. but my pen is running out of ink..

    “Expedite this!!”.
