SuperSport switches to simulcast from August 12
DStv’s SuperSport will switch to simulcast from August 12, a change that will only affect High Definition (HD).
Channel 203 will display SuperSport3 if you have a Standard Definition (SD) decoder and SuperSport 3 HD if you have an HD decoder.
Viewers therefore won’t have to spend time flicking between SD and HD channels.
Also, SuperSport 2 HD will now become SuperSport 5 HD and can be found on channel 205.
Customers with access to a PVR or Explora need not worry as their scheduled recordings will not be compromised by the switch over to simulcast – these recordings will automatically be moved to the new channels. We do recommend that customers double check their list of scheduled recordings just to be safe.
SD viewers can still access all their SS channels on their normal channel numbers.
