The Walking Dead season five releases two new teasers – Watch

The Walking Dead has unveiled two new teasers for its upcoming fifth season.

The first clip focuses on lead actor Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, while the second teaser features Chad Coleman as Tyreese.

“These people are my family, and if you hurt them in any way I will kill you,” Rick is heard saying in the the video.

In the second teaser, Tyreese is seen looking out at a pack of zombies, before realising that the threat might be closer than he thinks.

Last month, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman described the fifth series as the “best season yet”.

“We’re bringing in new characters like we always do, and I think season five is going to be our best season yet,” he shared. “I think when people finally see the premiere, they’ll see what I’m talking about.”

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, echoed Kirkman’s views, calling upcoming scripts the best yet.

He said: “These scripts are the best scripts so far. It’s so fast-paced and so complicated. It’s great to be back.”

Season five of The Walking Dead will premiere on Sunday, October 12 at 9pm ET on AMC. The show will return to Fox in Africa on Monday, October 13.
