#BBHotshots: Emmy Gee, Diamond, Davido and Casper Nyovest leave the crowd wanting more

Big Brother Hotshots premiered on multiple channels last night (Sunday, 5th October).

Nigerian rapper Emmy Gee’s hit single “Rands and Nairas”, written with the aim of celebrating African unity, has taken the music world by storm. The song features South African rappers AB Crazy and Dj Dimplez, and was recently remixed with the three performers, as well as Ice Prince, Anatii, Phyno and Cassper Nyovest. The highly anticipated launch of Big Brother Hotshots was opened with the popular song and the audience went crazy over the performance.

Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz graces the Hotshots stage, with his hit song “Number One”. The audience jumped and screamed as he performed on stage, clearly enjoying the music.

The studio audience just about lost their minds when BET award winner and “Skelewu” hit-maker Davido took to the stage. Africa was ready for the Nigerian born international sensation – or should we say they weren’t – as he launched into the banger.

Dripping sheer bling and swagger next to his hype man, Davido set the building ablaze. So hot was the performance IK had to join in and bust a move.

Hot property on the South African music scene right now is singer and producer Cassper Nyovest, who launched onto the stage, pony tail trade mark to fit, with his hit song “Doc Shebeleza”.

Emerging on the African hip hop scene, he brings his special brand of talent, and taxi-driver swagger, back to the Big Brother Africa stage.

This year saw the release of Cassper’s debut album Tsholofelo, which features the hit song “Gushesehe”.
