Big Brother Hotshots Day 20: Pantomime’s extravaganza went off with a bang

It was that time of the week again. Extravaganza time was here! Primed to give a pantomime par excellence Team Forest Fantasy was first up on the stage and we were sure this was going to be a performance to remember.

It all began when old grandma Tayo told her two grandchildren the story of the “Magic Forest”. This was the tale of hare the king, played by Ellah who was fed up of being called “cute”. He wanted to be respected in his kingdom.

Out of greed and desperation the hare fell prey to the hyena’s (Sipe) tricks. When this didn’t work hyena came up with an even more devious and devastating plan. The hare, hungry for more power, went along with the plan to get a human (Idris) to chop down all the trees in the forest. This meant drought for the whole forest and animals that live in it.

Then it was time to dial up Mother Nature (Frankie), who waltzed with modern and feisty edge. She gave them a choice of trees for life or power. M’am Bea, the good-hearted lion discouraged the other animals from choosing power, because life was far more precious.

JJ and Goitse did a chirper job as the monkeys and their pantomime went off without a glitch.

The Candy Landers were up next. After a performance like that Team A were certainly a compelling act to follow and at this point they were the ones to beat. Not to be out-performed team members gave each other the last pep-talk before show time.

Laveda was mother to a Andy (Sheillah) who had sticky-fingers for candy and all things sweet. When he fell asleep he was carried into a dreamland, or shall we say candy land with all the colourful liquorice, bubble-gum and chocolates of his dreams.

Taken with all the candy just flying and flapping about he took a bite out of bubble-gum. Little did he know that it was an offense in candy land to bite off any of the candy on offer. He was to be tried in the court of candy law in the infamous case of Candy Land versus Andy the “ear-muncher”.

With only the fairy (Samantha) to protect Andy in this candy nightmare, he was found guilty.

When he woke up in a cold sweat from the Candy Land nightmare, his mother told him never to steal or stash candy ever again. He learnt that too much candy was indeed too much of a sweet thing.
