Gulder Ultimate Search Season 11: EPISODE 24 – EVI DEBUNKS RUMOURED LOVE AFFAIR WITH OTTO

Evicted Evi has laughed off speculations of a romantic relationship with Otto, who is still a contender. The duo became partners during the Precision Stage and they were the only ones that correctly answered questions about each other, when the Council of Elders sought to know how much the contestants were bonding.

Otto, who rarely reacts to other contestants being evicted, however said he was sad at Evi’s eviction. He also added that he liked her character. Otto did not spare his first partner, Ikenna E, when he felt Ikenna E was at fault during their tasks; but he was famed for showering encomiums on Evi, even when her pace did not match his.

In debunking the claims, Evi said: “I have no idea where the thoughts of people feeling Otto and I were more than contestants came from. But there is actually no more to it. We are just friends.”

She said her Gulder Ultimate Search experience was what she hoped it would be. Evi noted: “I’ve been watching it back at home on TV and I was always telling myself that I could do what some of the contestants were doing. And finally I had come here and experienced what all contestants had gone through. It was a good experience. When I dropped the bucket and I was told I had been evicted, I actually didn’t feel upset contrary to what I had pictured in my mind if ever I was going to get evicted. The most important thing I learnt in the jungle is the importance of hard work in life. I also learnt to appreciate life. I’m very happy I was part of the show. I’m very happy I’m coming out with my shoulders high and I’ve learnt a lot more that I will be able to apply in life.”

Evi wants Samantha to win GUS and change the trend of guys winning all the time.

Back at camp, Otto was ordered by the Council of Elders to go to the grounds where the General’s Shield was found. Even though they did not know what they were looking for, they split into teams and dug the ground and scavenged the surrounding bushes. At a point, Chinedu joked that they were searching for beans. Cosy also said he was hoping to find a bag or basket of beans.

Emmanuel eventually found a small chest which contained another piece of a map. On returning to their base, the contestants found another scroll which directed them to go to the window of the Swamp of Sorrow for their task.

For the day’s task, the contestants were required to build a symbol of Infinity. They were to make four trips to pick up 11 objects and form the symbol. Otto confessed to being tense during the challenge as he knew the remaining contestants were pretty good.

Emmanuel confessed that the contestants were fatigued having spent several days in the jungle. Cosy said the puzzle was very difficult even though it appeared easy.

Otto was the first to solve the puzzle, Cosy Joe finished next followed by Chinedu.

After several hours, Chidi Mokeme set a 10 minute time limit for Samantha and Emmanuel to solve the puzzle. The person closest to solving the puzzle was Emmanuel and he was declared the fourth place winner, while Samantha lost.

After Otto was declared Tribe leader and the contestants asked to return to their camp, Samantha hesitated, perhaps thinking she would be evicted because of her inability to solve the puzzle. When Chidi said nothing, she rushed off to catch up with the remaining contestants who had started their journey back to their camp.

Just as the contestants settled to eat, they found another instruction from the Council of Elders to go to The Place of the Broken Dream where they found another scroll and a piece of map.

As the contestants made dinner at the cooking area, Samantha confessed that Gulder Ultimate Search had changed her life.
