Reuters announces on-demand Reuters TV to launch in 2015

International news agency Reuters just announced Reuters TV its on demand video news service coming in 2015.

The new service and companion app expands the news agency’s reach beyond the written word with up-to-date news coverage in varying length Reuters Now video segments. Segments will last from 5 to 30 minutes. Reuters says that the shows will be tailored to viewers’ interests.

In the teaser video for the upcoming app the news agency says that traditional TV news “got lost” and that it’s time for the news to catch up with viewers and be made to fit their day. Reuters has been reporting the news for over 160 years and it’ll be interesting to see how this new app and service will resonate with news junkies.
