Big Brother Hotshots Day 46: Task – Recording This is Africa sound tracks!
The time had come for the housemates to record their Channel O “Hotshots Best #TIA tracks”. Biggie told the housemates that after they had finished recording their tracks, Big Brother’s Ninja would bring a twitter mirror which they would use to take one photo with their country-mates, and personalise their photo with their signatures and a positive message for Africa, ending with #TIA on the screen.
The first five recordings went well ahead and the Botswana girls got the ball rolling with a beautiful rendition. Luclay and Nhlanhlalaughed all the way through their final rehearsal and it was clear that they were having fun and Tayo and Uti quickly got through their song. The Zimbabwean trio exuded confidence as they performed their track. It seemed as though Trezagah was anxious to get things over and done with as he requested to jump straight to the recording.
Watch the first five recordings and judge for yourself which country-mates deserved to win a trip to the country they produced a song on:
M’am Bea offered a sad melody when she sang with Elikem – the two designers sang about Malawi. Sipe and Natasha’s voices blended in well as they belted out a melodious chorus and Sipe spiced things up with a bit of rapping. Idris and Feza offered a gentle song, with Feza mainly doing the chorus and Idris rapping. Ellah and Denzel didn’t do too badly although the gentleman was off key most of the time.Macky2 and Sulu sang about Botswana and whilst we could have expected more rapping from Macky2, his husky voice overshadowed Sulu’s.
