Big Brother Hotshots Day 49 Live Show: And so the fun begins…You’ve been pranked

And so Biggie continues with the most elaborate prank in Big Brother Africa history. IK crosses over to the house and chats to them about how the week went. He first speaks to the Hotshots to ask them what they learned from the experience and what their experience was of the “originals.”

IK chats asks Ellah and JJ about their time with the exes. Ellah says that she is happy if some of the exes stay in the house. JJ thinks that the exes are “amazing people.” IK turns to Elikem feels he is “still in the running to win the money.” Miss P says that she is “a little bit nervous” and she thinks that at least half of the Hotshots are leaving.

All of the housemates are told to stand. The tension is rising as the Hotshots are all still oblivious to what is about to happen. One by one the exes are told to sit, Sulu, Uti, Natasha, Lionel and Elikem all are seated. Feza and Luclay remain standing and Biggie asks the remaining Hotshots what this means for them. Denzel and Miss P are told to sit. Biggie then tells Vimbai, Luclay and Feza that they are evicted and telling the rest of them to sit. “For real?” Tears and hugs, the housmates are all shocked. “This is Big Brother, Vimbai. Luclay and Feza, you have ten seconds to leave the house.”

The fake evictions have begun and IK explains to Africa that this is when the prank is wrapped up. Sulu and Natasha are shown “losing their tempers.” Miss P is also shoen creating discord and the Hotshots are shown reacting negatively. The three “evicted” exes are shown creating mayhem in the house. Vimbai, Luclay and Feza are welcomed again onto Africa’s biggest stage. IK chats to Vimbai first who says that it was dificult to maintain the deception.

IK contuinues with the prank and returns to the house with “more bad news” and gets all of the Hotshots to stand with the exception of Butterphly, JJ, Nhlanhlah, Idris and Sheillah (who was Head of House.) IK makes Tayo continue to stand while Trezagah and Goitse are told to have a seat with Tayo to remain standing. Macky2 is asked to sit. “M’am Bea, you may sit.” Tayo, Ellah and Sipe are “fake” evicted. Hugs all around, shock and long faces from all of the remaining Hotshots.  They are ushered into the diary room. Uti, Denzel and Natasha are told “congratulations, you are staying.” The “evicted” housemates are then seen in the diary room where they are told: “Housemates freeze.”

The “evicted” housemates make their way to the studio. How is this going to affect the Hotshots? It appears as if Biggie has waged psychological warfare on the Hotshots. Will this affect the direction of the game? Keep watching as this season is getting more and more intense.

“This is Big Brother: unfreeze!” The housemates are told to go back into the house where biggie will chat to them there. Biggie reveals all. “This was a prank pulled on you by Big Brother and the ten departed ex-housemates.” “Housemates, all Hotshot housemates are in the game and tonight, the game will continue.”

Biggie explains that everyone is up for nomination next week with the person who wins Head of House being the only exception. The Head of House will then have to do their add to the nominations list. “Hey presto, unfreeze.” Goitse is stunned “so Goitse didn’t get the unfreeze memo” quips IK while th erest of the Hotshots celebrate and are overjoyed.

During the week the Channel O Hotshots #TIA awards. We see clips of all the entrants “some were great, some not so great” says IK. IK tells them that the exesw love all of them and were only playing arole. Nhlanhla and Luclay’s song is the winner. Nhlanhla is stunned and overjoyed. “Uti must pay for it.” IK bids the house “good night” and reminds Africa about the Channel O Africa Music Awards, which K.O is up for four awards, he performs his hit song “Son of a Gun.”
