ACTV scores for Man. United fans in Nigeria with the launch of MUTV
Africa Cable Television (ACTV) recently announced that it has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MUTV, which means that subscribers of the soon to be launched Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite television, would enjoy viewing all programming on MUTV.
A subscription-based TV channel owned and operated by Manchester United, MUTV offers viewing of full matches including all Premier League games (broadcast at midnight of the day the match was played), live reserve and academy games, pre-season friendly and classic matches as well as footballing news and other theme programming.
Mr. Godfrey Orkeh, CEO of ACTV stated, ”we are delighted to be able to air MUTV exclusively on our platform. Not is it a clear indication that sports has its pride of place on ACTV, but it is indicative that we intend to give our competition a run for its money with the quality of our content.”
ACTV, which goes live December 1st and enters the Nigerian DTH scene with up to 60 channels.
