Canal Plus Afrique confirms NBA rights

National Basketball Association (NBA) games will be broadcast across Africa via Canal Plus Afrique after the broadcaster agreed a new rights deal.

The deal began on 1st January, with matches made available to all Canal Plus Afrique subscribers.

Canal Plus Afrique viewers will see two games per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The broadcaster has also committed to shoulder programming.

Canal Plus Afrique broadcasts across sub-Saharan Africa, excluding South Africa. It is said to be on course to have three million subscribers by 2017.
