Auditions Begin for Etisalat Nigerian Idol Season 5
Thousands of undiscovered, young music talents will be vying for a chance in the spotlight at the Etisalat-sponsored reality TV music show, Nigerian Idol, as auditions for the 5th season of the competition commence on January 10, in Benin City, Edo State.
“Etisalat is proud to provide a platform to discover and nurture raw talents. We expect to see excited, determined and extraordinarily talents at the auditions. Thousands of them did their best last season but this season, we are looking for a unique talent that stands out” said Modupe Thani, head, Events and Sponsorships at Etisalat Nigeria.
“We will support them throughout the season and the winner would receive a brand new SUV, and a 7.5 million naira cash prize, amongst other rewards.” He added.
Multitalented Entertainer and Pioneer Judge Yinka Davis is making a return to the show along with Afrobeat singer, Dede Mabiaku; soul singer-songwriter, Darey Art Alade, while Ill Rhymz would reprise his role as the presenter of the show.
The first episode for Season 5 is expected to air in March, 2015 following further auditions in Port Harcourt on January 17th, Abuja on January 24th, Ibadan on January 31st and Lagos on January 7th and 8th.
