VIDEO: Yanga FT. KiD X & AKA – Awuth’Yam (Remix)

If you keep a close ear to S.A’s rap music/hip-hop then Yanga shouldn’t be new to you. For those of you who don’t know Yanga, he’s been behind most of AKA‘s notable videos like All eyes on me, Kontrol, Run Jozi among others. Yanga made a debut as a rapper on the music scene last year on songs like ‘Run Jozi’ (the hook), Dj Vigi’s Sorry Makhe and Dimplez’ Kwa Mkhize. That’s enough with Yanga’s history let’s focus on his new video for Awuth’Yam the remix.

The video is what we expected from Yanga as a video director who has been behind most of he huge video projects down in S.A. The energy of the song is clearly manifested in the video as the different rappers deliver their verses. Yanga opens up the song as he blends the languages which makes his verse quite enjoyable even if you don’t understand the other language. Cash Time’s KiD X breaks in the second verse with his effortless delivery with a “skhanda performance” and the ‘Supa Mega’ AKA closes the song with a verse that you will have to rap along to as you re-watch the video.
