So you didn’t score an invite to the 2015 AMVCAs, or maybe you’re out of town, but that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the action.

You can join all the African stars as they strut their stuff on the red carpet, pick up their coveted AMVCA statuettes and give their amazing speeches, all from the comfort of your couch,

The night promises to be an unforgettable experience, here are seven reasons to tune in to the 2015 AMVCAs which will be airing live on all AfricaMagic channels, on Saturday 7 March at at 5pm WAT. 

1. Expect everything and anything on the 2015 AMVCA red carpet. From tuxedos to traditional wear, find out who hits the mark and who forgot to look at the mirror before stepping out.

2. Our hosts IK Osakioduwa and Vimba Mutinhiri are tried and tested. With two years hosting the show together under their belt, we know we can only expect the best from the amazing duo.

3. Now in its third edition, the AMVCAs are bigger and better. Over 2000 entries from across Africa were received. Now that’s what we call a real competition.

4. The Mavin crew headed by Don Jazzy will be on hand to delight the audiences with hit songs and top notch choreography. Doro #AMVCA2015 anyone?

5. Who will go home with the cash prizes on the night? Amstel Malta will be doling out cash to winners of the Best Actor (Drama) and Best Actress (Drama) as well as Best Movie (Comedy) and Best Overall Movie.

6. Last year, we had a mixed bag when it came to the speeches and we wonder if this year will be different.

7. When it comes to the AMVCA 2015 ceremony, everything is on time; nothing drags. So you can still go to bed on time or better still, Catch Up with your favourite programmes on DStv.

The 2015 edition of the AMVCA’s will be held on 7 March 2015 at the Eko Hotel, Lagos and the awards will air live on all AfricaMagic channels on GOtv and DStv at 5pm WAT.
