FIRST+EXCLUSIVE: M-Net readying a new AfricaMagic Igbo channel for Launch in April

Exclusive news reaching talkmedia Nigeria from insider sources is that M-Net is getting ready to launch AfricaMagic Igbo on DStv and GOtv.

MultiChoice as decided to end complains leveled against it by it’s subscribers of being marginalised by lauching a new television channel dedicated to the Igbo race.

Before these new development, AfricaMagic had dedicated channels to Hausa and Yoruba programmings but there was none for Igbo speaking people, one of Nigeria’s top three ethnic groups.

A reliable source at M-Net tells me that the channel will start internal test later this March and launch officially around first or second week in April.
