Oluwatosin Ajayi popularly known as “Doray” and reps Soft Boi Republik was born on the 6th of August and hails from Ifo Local Government area in Ogun State, Nigeria. He was born in Zaria in The northern part of Nigeria.
His style of music is Afro pop, reggae and as an artiste he personally believes music is a form of art that should be well fine tuned to bring out the right harmony of sound such he pushes himself to the limit sometimes and always tries to creatively come up with new lyrics, lines to keep music lovers informed and entertained dancing and hoping for more.
Doray has worked with the likes of Solidstar, Korede Bello, Mr 2kay and Praiz. He one of the Next Rated artiste to look out for and was recently featured in Mr 2kay song titled “In The Morning”.

I’m mostly in the studio but if m not. I would b listening to music or chilling with ma guys.

Softboi Reporblik is something I created some years ago. Got a wonderful team and I feel so blessed working with these guys.
WHY THE INTEREST IN MUSIC?
Music is something I’m in love with,I’m happy doing music And something I find so easy to do.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME DORAY?
Doh-Ray is like a reminder to a decision I made a long ago. It means the lil money u make that gives u hope to make more
HOW’S THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA?
The music industry is fast growing, we breaking more boundaries now, and being more appreciated as well. So it’s a great development.
YOU HAVE REALLY COME A LONG WAY FROM “TELEMI LO”, “JUST BELIEVE”, “SOPE”, TO “SUGAR LOVE”, WHAT WILL YOU SAY KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED/INSPIRED TO SAY DEDICATED TO MUSIC?
I love what I do, the truth is I don’t think I love any other thing as much as I love making music. So yeah, I guess that’s the motivation.
YOU RECENTLY FEATURED IN THE SINGLE/ VIDEO OF MR 2KAY TITLED “IN THE MORNING”. TELL US HOW THE SONG CAME ABOUT?
I came home one day and heard Mr 2kay recording the song. He already recorded the chorus and the first verse. I love the vibes so I went into the studio while he was recording the 2nd verse and after that he asked if I would like to jump on the song and I said yeah. And that was it..
HOW OFTEN DO YOU GO TO THE GYM AND HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU SPEND WHILE YOU THERE?
I go to the gym almost everyday. I don’t do too much tho. I just do enough to keep my body fit and healthy.
WHAT’S YOUR 5 DO’S WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC?
Dos:
1. Have to look good
2. Listen and do good music
3. Work with the right label/team
4. Work with talented producers
5. You have to be respectful.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE MAIN MISCONCEPTION THE PUBLIC HAVE ABOUT MUSICIANS?
I feel the most misconception the public has about musicians is that fact that they see musicians as irresponsible people.
WHAT ASPECT SURPRISED YOU THE MOST ONCE YOU STARTED AS AN ARTISTE?
The number of great talents in the industry.
WHICH BRANDS, PRODUCERS, CLIENTS AND MUSICIANS HAVE YOU WORKED WITH?
I have worked with Solidstar, Mr 2kay, Praiz, Popito, Ayzed, just to mention a few.
WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE JOBS TO WORK ON?
The most memorable jobs I have worked on would be “Sugar Love” remix featuring Mr 2kay and Praiz and “Sope” because it was an interesting and challenging moment for me.
WHO DO YOU WANT TO WORK WITH THAT YOU HAVEN’T?
There’s a lot of peeps I would love to work with that I haven’t worked with yet. Likes of 2face, Wizkid, Flavour, Timaya, BurnaBoy, Wande Coal, Olamide, Tiwa Savage and I like Simi too.

My label “Soft Boi Repubik” SBR and my team.

Yeah, It’s very important cos you have to keep in touch with your fans.
YOU ARE BASED IN LAGOS. HOW IS THAT WORKING FOR YOU?
It’s no doubt that Lagos is where everything goes down. So it’s kinda easy for me. Because I don’t need to stress too much to get stuffs done.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
Creative, I believe music is a form of Art so I like to blend different genres
WHAT MUSIC GENRE APPEALS TO YOU THE MOST?
Reggae and dancehall music.

I don’t think I hav tho. But I know I love bracelets so much.

I love all of them trust me.

Beans and plantain.

A lot of reggae and dancehall and Afro songs.

Be humble, put in work, Trust in what you believe and trust in God.
