Nail-biting missions in Everest Rescue premieres on Discovery Channel

Everest Rescue journeys to the tops of the treacherous Everest Himalayan Mountains, highlighting the work of a rare breed of pilots who put their lives on the line to save those facing death.

Every year climbers, hikers and the accompanying Sherpas are injured or incapacitated in the dangerous terrain on and around Everest. Scaling the mountain is dangerous, difficult and death-defying for the lucky. With the margin for error between life and death so thin, these adventurers rely on the expertise of specialist rescue workers to get them out of trouble if disaster strikes.

Mount Everest’s team of elite high-altitude helicopter pilots risk it all to rescue those climbers who get into trouble on the mountain and need to get pulled out – fast. These experienced pilots risk their lives in some of the most dangerous and remarkable terrain in the world.
