Kwesé TV to offer push catch-up services with Quadrille

African telecom and pay TV provider Econet Media has tapped software and service provider Quadrille to provide technology to support a push on-demand catch-up TV service for Kwesé TV, its pay TV offering.

Quadrille will supply its file transfer QuadriFast platform to Kwesé TV, enabling the latter to deliver a catch-up service that can be accessed through linear TV on its DTH service with an external hard disk drive.

The QuadriFast software paltform provides multicast delivery of content, allowing broadcasters to set up an over-the-air or satellite delivery platform for services including catch up, live TV and video-on-demand.

Regardless of the platform we want to ensure a seamless viewing experience for our audiences. This software provides the infrastructure required to deliver this service,” said Econet president and CEO Joseph Hundah.
