WWE Network launch announcement coming next quarter?

WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, has told financial analysts that he “hopes” to make an announcement on the upcoming WWE Network during the company’s third quarter earnings call in November.

In comparison to the first quarter (January 1st – March 31st) – in which the WWE had a total Network spend of $2.1m – a total of $1.7m was spent on the Network in the second quarter (April 1st – June 30th). Chief Financial Officer, George Barrios, told analysts that between $5m and $10m will be spent on programming.

WWE continues to negotiate carriage deals and rollout plans.
