Gulder Ultimate Search: Episode 15 (Patience Bornford Is Dramatically Evicted)

Patience Bornford’s eviction from Gulder Ultimate Search was dramatic. But ‘miraculous’ perhaps best describes Priscillia Ezeh’s survival of the Puzzle of Doom – a Gatekeeper’s task.

The plot for the challenge bore trappings and traits of a Hollywood blockbuster: suspense-filled, action-packed, diverse cast and very enthralling. For the task, the Gulder Ultimate Search 9 warriors were required to solve a puzzle and whisper the correct answer into the ears of Gatekeeper Michael Nwachukwu.

They were then directed to cross a river thrice to pick up three pieces of puzzles. They were to correctly assemble these puzzles on their workstations.

Priscillia was still trying to crack the riddle when Paschal Eronmose had successfully solved his puzzle. The seven remaining warriors had also crossed the river and were at their workstations battling to solve the puzzle. Priscillia soon successfully answered the riddle and had to go through the routine of crossing the river to assemble the puzzles; and correctly arrange them at her workstation.

Adah James soon finished; closely followed by Michael Ogbuefi, Onyinye Udodi and Ifet Iniobong. Uzor Osimpka and Nuhu Zigwayi then successfully arranged their puzzle, leaving Patience and an earlier disadvantaged Priscillia to slug it out for the remaining lone spot.

The challenge started in the sunny bright afternoon. It was not until sunset that Priscillia correctly solved the puzzle to the astonishment of fellow warriors. Even Priscillia was shell-shocked at her victory. Patience was devastated in defeat. Her tears flowed freely from the task-ground to the warriors’ camp after she was evicted from Gulder Ultimate Search 9 and asked to hand over her keys to the Gatekeeper.

Later in the evening, all the warriors were assembled to watch only the Head Warrior, Paschal Eronmose walk through the Gatekeeper’s gate which led into a dome – to pick up a piece of a clue. He was directed to keep it hidden from the rest of the warriors. If he gets evicted, he has to relinquish the clue to another Head Warrior.
