OFIVE TV joins African bouquet on Amos 5

African entertainment channel OFIVE TV is joining the French-language bouquet on Spacecom’s Amos satellite fleet.

The channel, headquartered in France, airs music videos, artist interviews, documentaries, TV shows, movies, sports and general entertainment series to over 60 countries. It joins the line-up on Amos 5 at 17° East targeting Africa. SatLink Communications is providing the TV distribution platform on the satellite.

Nicolas Oyas, CEO of OFIVE TV, said, “French-speaking Africa is clearly in need of our network especially since we are focusing on the new generation of alternative media. This new youth culture is the fastest growing segment of the media market. With Amos-5, we plan to reach millions of African viewers and capture the interest of the continent’s young people.”
