Nokia has announced the Nokia Lumia 620, it’s most affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone yet. With a 3.8-inch screen and startling dual-layered shell, this handset is set to brighten your world. Here we check out the Nokia Lumia 620 tech specs and what you need to know.

The Nokia Lumia 620 has to be one of the freshest and brightest looking entry-level smartphones to hit the market. Pushing innovation in design, Nokia has created a smartphone with a dual-colour shell that is interchangeable.

The Nokia Lumia 620 dual-coloured shells are exchangeable and the good looks are built to last – with the colours running all the way through the material so the scratches never show.

The Nokia Lumia 620 is based around a 3.8-inch TFT display with 800 x 480-pixel resolution. You’ll also find it comes with Nokia ClearBlack technology, so you’ll easily be able to read it outdoors as well as in.

The Nokia Lumia 620 will be made available in a range of colours including, lime green, orange, magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black. It even comes with an extra exchangeable shell in the box, so you can start colour-coding as you go.

The Nokia Lumia 620 runs on a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and is backed by 512MB of RAM. You’ll find it runs the Windows Phone 8 operating system with ease.

The Nokia Lumia 620 measures 115.4 x 61.1 x 11.02mm and weighs in at a highly portable 127g.

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes fully kitted out with NFC, WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4Ghz + 5Ghz, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS/A-GPS, Glonass, microUSB and 3.5mm audio jack with AHJ and WP Controls. You’ll also find two distortion-free high-amplitude microphones and Dolby Headphone fitted.

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes with 8GB of internal memory and a microSD slot that is capable of handling cards up to 64GB in size. You’ll also find 7GB of Microsoft SkyDrive cloud storage.

The Nokia Lumia 620 packs in a 5-Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. It’s capable of handling video capture at up to 720p HD resolutions at 30 frames per second. What’s more, there is also a VGA front-facing camera for those who like to make video calls.

The Nokia Lumia 620 offers up a battery life of up to 14.6 hours/up to 9.9 hours in GSM/WCDMA modes. You’ll also find a standby time of up to 330 hours.

The Nokia Lumia 620 is set to cost $249 USD, before taxes, and is set to ship in January 2013. Initially it’s believed it will be available in Asia, followed by Europe and the Middle-East before spreading out even further..
