From Tue 9 April, FOX will join the general entertainment section of DStv Premium and will feature a number of exciting series such as Falling SkiesThe Walking Dead,The Transporter – the TV series and Being Mandela, among many others.

Here’s a look at some of the shows that will air on FOX, channel 125:

The Walking Dead

After waking from a coma in an abandoned hospital, police officer Rick Grimes finds the world he knew gone – ravaged by a zombie epidemic of apocalyptic proportions. Nearby, on the outskirts of Atlanta, a small encampment struggles to survive as “the dead” stalk them at every turn.

Can Rick and the others hold onto their humanity as they fight to live in this terrifying new world? And, amidst dire conditions and personal rivalries, will they ultimately survive one another?

Falling Skies

In the devastating wake of an all-out invasion of the planet by an alien military force, ordinary people must do extraordinary things to survive. Falling Skies opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated.

In the six months since the initial invasion, the few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force, whose nature and purpose remains a mystery.

JO

Jo is a one-hour close-ended crime series about Joachim “Jo” Saint-Clair, played by Jean Reno (Leon – The Professional) a veteran detective in Paris’ elite Criminal Brigade tackling the city’s most challenging murder cases.

Each episode will feature one case, while Jo’s personal journey has a series-long arc. Jo takes the audience behind the scenes of Paris’ most iconic locations – the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Catacombs, Place Vendome – as we follow Saint-Clair in his relentless pursuit of justice.

The Transporter

Frank Martin is The Transporter.  You want something moved, moved fast, and moved right, you get Frank Martin. He carries anything, anywhere, no questions asked.  Ex-Special Forces, he’s acquired the driving, fighting and survival skills to make the delivery on schedule, and he never quits until the package is where it’s supposed to be.

Da Vinci’s Demons

Da Vinci’s Demons is a historical fantasy, following the “untold” story of the world’s greatest genius during his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence.

Brilliant and passionate, the 25-year-old Leonardo Da Vinci is an artist, inventor, swordsman, lover, dreamer and idealist. As a free thinker, with intellect and talents that are almost superhuman, he struggles to live within the confines of his own reality and time. He begins to not only see the future, but invent it.

Being Mandela

Being Mandela: is an insight into the lives of Nelson Mandela’s granddaughters. We follow their lifestyles, from trips to beautiful Cape Town, shopping in New York, looking for their cultural roots in Swaziland and even get a first hand view of their grandmother Winnie writing her autobiography.

What pressures come with being the first ladies of the country? How do they juggle business and motherhood? The show answers all those questions and more…

FOX launches on DStv Premium on Tue 9 Apr, channel 125.
