Glo brings quiz show ‘Mastermind’ to Nigeria and Ghana

Classic UK quiz format Mastermind is to be produced in Nigeria and Ghana, under licence deal unveiled by BBC Worldwide (BBCWW).

Often billed as TV’s toughest quizshow, Mastermind has been picked by South Africa-based prodco Rapid Blue has also taken the format for Nigeria and Ghana. The 13-part show will feature contestants from both countries and will be sponsored by African telco Glo Mobile with broadcasters to be confirmed ahead of its August debut.

Mastermind “is a giant among British TV gameshows and has been commissioned in nine other countries, including India, Israel and Russia,” said BBCWW’s VP format licensing EMEA, Elin Thomas.
