Serious about sci-fi? Feel fulfilled by fantasy? Keep it locked on M-Net and M-Net Series Showcase in October.

First up there’s the riveting Sleepy Hollow (14 October at 6:30pm on M-Net Series Showcase)in which a headless horseman brings dark and supernatural forces to a small town. A modern-day cop tries to stop the horseman together with a centuries-old resurrected warrior, Ichabod Crane, who helps the cop in his quest to rid the town of evil.

Then Teen Wolf S3 (4 October at 6:30pm on M-Net Series Showcase) takes you into the lives of friends Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Allison in Beacon Hills as they begin their high schooling careers. Unbeknown to them a sinister pack of Alpha werewolves patrol the grounds and pose a deadly threat to them all.

The human spirit is strong, and even though they’re slightly mutated, a generation of humans born with paranormal abilities must resort to extremes to save their race from being killed off by paramilitary scientists in the thrilling new series Tomorrow People (25 October at 8pm on M-Net). They enlist the help of an up-till-now ordinary teenager who finds that he’s starting to hear voices and has the ability to teleport in his sleep.


Reality fans, keep it real with M-Net Series Reality in October.

Are you ready for another round of America’s Got Talent (16 October at 7:30pm on M-Net Series Reality)? Season eight splashes onto our screens as the search for the most spectacular act begins. Along the way we’ll see the blunders, boos and standing ovations so don’t miss it!

The Queen is in the building! No we don’t mean her highness, but rather Queen Latifah. Love her music and movies? Then you don’t want to miss it as she takes the lead, interviewing A-list celebrities, meeting people with inspirational stories and getting down with some of the hottest musical acts in the industry in her very own show, The Queen Latifah Show (21 October at 6:30pm on M-Net Series Reality).

The tenth season of So You Think You Can Dance premieres on 21 October at 6:30pm on M-Net Series Reality. Hundreds of hopefuls line up for a chance to audition and show the judges their electrifying dance moves. The show kicks off with auditions where talented individuals will showcase the best and worst in  hip/hop, classical and contemporary dance.

In need of some fashion intervention? Well then you’d better join fashion guru Joe Zee as he puts menswear line, Unruly Heir on the straight and narrow and they put it All on the Line (18 October at 7:30pm on M-Net Series Reality) with the hope of reviving their fashion empire.


If you like living in the heat of the moment, then they’ve got the perfect lineup of action-packed shows.

NYPD’s Detective Robert Ironside is as tough as they come. Even though he’s confined to a wheelchair, his instincts and skills make him one of the best. He and his team of experts will stop at nothing during their pursuit of justice. Ironside premieres on 11 October at 9pm on M-Net.

Homeland S3 (14 October at 8:30pm on M-Net) picks up where season two left off in the aftermath of the terrorist attack and sees Emmy-Award-winner Claire Danes and the rest of the Homeland cast try to process the shattered state of their lives in the aftermath of the terror attack. Meanwhile the hunt for Nick Brody intensifies.

Despite being married and having families of their own, two people embark on a wild affair. Their lives become complicated when they find themselves on the opposite ends of a murder trial and their relationship begins to affect their families in Betrayal premiering on 19 October at 9:30pm on M-Net. 

Then, the thrilling new series Hostages (8 October at 9:30pm on M-Net) will put you on edge. It sees the Sanders’ family life plunged into absolute chaos when they’re caught up in a major political conspiracy that could destroy their lives forever. With nowhere to run or hide, doctor Ellen Sanders has to succumb to a villainous plot to take down the President of the United States of America. From the Jerry Bruckheimer stable, Hostages will have you at the edge of your seat.

Looking for some laughs? Well, you’re in the right place because we’ve got zany moms, comical dads and disturbed office employees to keep you entertained. 

Providing the first dose of craziness are the employees of The Office (14 October at 6pm on M-Net Series Showcase). Now in its ninth and final season, its not to be missed as the staff of Dunder Mifflin wade through work and life with comical mishaps and disasters along the way.

Anna Faris plays single parent Christy in Mom (18 October at 6:30pm on M-Net). She’s newly discovered sobriety, and decides to get her shaky life on track.

Then, two best friends’ organized lives turns to chaos in Dads (22 October at 6pm on M-Net Series Showcase) when their bothersome fathers move in and begin to rule the roost.

Twisted (14 October at 7:30pm on M-Net Series Showcase), sees teenager Danny Desai, fresh out of juvenile detention, trying to piece his life back together.

Alyssa Milano stars in the scintillating new series Mistresses premiering on 27 October at 5:30pm on M-Net Series Showcase. The show offers a look into the lives of four female friends and the illicit and often complex relationships which they hold.
