Channel O Music Video Awards 2013

All-star performers are set to illuminate the stage using the force of sound to send reverberations across Africa on what promises to be a memorable night.

The Channel O Africa Music Video Awards take place on Saturday, 30 November, at Walter Sisulu Square, in Kliptown Soweto – and will be broadcast LIVE across Africa on Channel O.

Under the choreographing genius of acclaimed dancer extraordinaire Somizi Mhlongo, leading the charge is Cassper Nyovest featuring Okmalumkooklat who have scored a massive hit this year with Gusheshe and will no doubt have the crowd on their feet at this year’s event.

Nigerian hotshot Burna Boy will show how he “likes to party” with a performance that is set to confirm his standing as a rising artist while South Africa will be represented by the likes of The Soil, and Khuli Chana.

Kenyan Victoria Kimani and Zimbabwe’s Buffalo Souljah will also be causing a riot on stage with a strong performance. Add in Nigerian recording artist and songwriter, Wizkid, South African chart-topper AKA featuring Da L.E.S., KCee of Limpopo fame and Lizha James, and you have just about the hottest line-up of African talent of 2013.

A highlight of the 10th Annual Channel O Africa Music Video Awards will be a show-stopping performance by Mafikizolo as well as this year’s Special Recognition award recipients P Square!

This year’s event is being hosted by Nigerian superstar Naeto C and South African airwaves hotshot AKA.
