Behold the new judges of Nigerian Idol Season 4! It’s Dede, Darey and Nneka
After the long wait and the suspense, Nigerian Idol finally unveiled their new judges on the show. Maybe we should have started by asking you the fans, followers and viewers of the show to make a guess and reward whoever answered the three names correctly. That being said, the new judges are Dede Mabiaku, Darey and Nneka. These three have rich musical background and are also artistes of international repute as well. Their collective experience will come to play in searching and guiding the next Nigerian Idol.
DEDE
Dede Mabiaku is an artist of Nigerian descent, and musically active in the afrobeat, highlife & jazz scene. A protégé of Fela Kuti, Dede Mabiaku learnt at the feet of the master himself. He was a judge on West African Idol and one incident that always comes to mind is while he on the show, a contestant came in his briefs to perform a song by Late Fela Anikulapo kuti. DAREY
Darey is a multiple award-winning and Multi-Platinum selling urban R&B singer, musician, songwriter, music producer and entrepreneur. Darey is also the son of the legendary African Jazz Musician and entertainer Art Alade.

NNEKA
Nneka is a German-Nigerian hip hop/soul singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Warri, she sings in both Igbo and English. Nneka relished the experience of singing from an early age in her school and in the church choir. After relocating to Hamburg, Germany, at the age of 18, she pursued a career in singing alongside a degree in Anthropology at the University of Hamburg. She now divides her time between Nigeria and Hamburg.
