Jan Koeppen named new president for FOX International Channels
Jan Koeppen has been named president of Europe and Africa for FOX International Channels (FIC), a 21st Century Fox subsidiary.
Koeppen has been COO for 21st Century Fox, Europe and Asia since April 2009, will report to Hernan Lopez, president and CEO of FIC.
Based in London and staring in his role this month, he will assume P&L responsibility for the 94 television and online services in 88 countries that make up FIC’s portfolio across Europe and Africa.
Commenting on the appointment, Lopez said: “It is a time of great opportunity in our business and we are excited to have someone of Jan’s insight and experience join FIC’s global leadership team.
“Jan has created enormous value for multiple divisions of 21st Century Fox and I am looking forward to having him run our Europe & Africa business.”
Koeppen added: “It is a thrill for me to join Fox International Channels. I have long been a fan of how FIC has created and grown a truly great business all over the world.
“FIC’s unrivalled portfolio connects with viewers, advertisers and distributors across the entertainment, sports, factual and lifestyle genres. I look forward to working with Hernan and the incredible team to build on FOX International Channels’ global leadership.”
