Gulder Ultimate Search Season 11 – The Mission Episode 7: Team Red Moves Up In Score Table After First Win

After a woeful performance which saw them losing three games in a row, Team Red made up of Samantha and Sharon, won their first task. The game was named ‘nameless’ and it tested the contestants’ strength and endurance.

Each team of two contestants was required to lift a bag proportional to their joint body weights off a pulley and sustain the bags in the air. If a partner felt weak, the other partner was to complement and provide support by pulling the bags.

As the contestants sustained the weights in the scorching sun with sweat dripping off their bodies, Chidi the Anchor man taunted them by drinking from a cold bottle of Gulder. A visibly thirsty Loretta from Team Green salivated at the sight of the cold bottle of beer while the Indigo team’s Ikenna E requested to have a taste.

Chinedu from the Orange team went to the extent of opening his flask and requesting that Chidi pour the liquid content, but fellow team mate, Sandra, talked him out of the idea.

During the game, Chidi asked each team what was going through their minds. Sharon said the Red team could not afford to give up, while team mate, Samantha, saw it as the team’s opportunity to gain points and exit the bottom of the table.

As the contestants’ showed no signs of waning in strength, Chidi asked them to lift a leg, and later to stretch out an arm.

Team Green became the first team to give up, followed by team Indigo. The Blue, Yellow, Orange and Purple teams then gave up in succession, hence Team Red emerged victors.

Sharon said Chidi’s constant mocking of the Red team spurred them to victory. Their victory earned them seven points, bringing their total score to 10. For winning, Samantha and Sharon were given a glass of ice-cold Gulder beer, a rare luxury, which they drank as fellow contestants stared enviously. Team Red has leaped over Team Green which currently occupies the last position and now has a total of six points.

Team Blue currently leads with an overall score of 22 points, followed by Indigo which has 19 points. Teams Purple, Orange and Yellow currently occupy the third, fourth and fifth positions with 17, 15 and 11 points respectively.
