Gulder Ultimate Search The Mission: EPISODE 14 – END OF THE SEARCH FOR IKENNA I & SANDRA

In the morning, Ikenna prayed assiduously “against any handwriting of eviction” hovering over himself and his partner – Sandra.

His prayers were not answered as later that night at The Place Of The Talking Drum, Chidi Mokeme, the Anchor man, evicted them both, thus ending their Gulder Ultimate Search 11 odyssey. Not that they emerged last in the day’s challenge – in fact they emerged fourth, earning three points.

However, at the end of the game, they trailed the other groups on the scoreboard in total scores and had to leave the jungle.

Their eviction was not unexpected. Both Otto and Ikenna E had stated that their exit from the Gulder Ultimate Search 11 was likely, owing to consecutive dismal results. Their ejection however surprised the contestants as some of them had their mouths agape while the facial expressions of others were that of shock.

Their short partnership was replete with lengthy arguments as they took advantage of the slightest opportunity to bicker. They even argued over sharing oranges.

Sandra even accused Ikenna I of cheating in tasks. According to her, he was more interested in spying other contestants’ results rather than attempting to solve them himself. She also accused him of overconfidence.

After being evicted, Sandra pointed out that their partnership was not working well as it took time for Ikenna I to pick up. She said: “You really can’t push him. I did my best. It’s unfortunate that we were team mates. I could not help it. I tried my best. He went down and I have gone down with him.”

Ikenna I said he knew his days on Gulder Ultimate Search 11 were numbered when he was paired with Sandra. He noted: “I knew we were not compatible. I’ve been living the kind of life I don’t like. I’ve been living under subjection.”

Ikenna narrowly missed freedom from Sandra’s subjection and still being a part of the show as Chidi disbanded all partnerships and with it all the scores. The Anchor man told them they had entered the ‘survival mode’ of the mission. It is now every warrior to him or herself.

Earlier in the day’s challenge, Noela and Samantha won their last task as a team. The challenge involved solving a puzzle and running to pick up oranges; which were then used to bring down a ladder. The contestants were then to cross the ladder in search of another object of significance.

Though Ikenna E & Cosy solved the puzzle first getting the maximum six points, Noela and Samantha’s discovery of the bow earned them the bonus 10 points, in addition to the four points they scored in the game. The scoreboard of the now disbanded Precision Stage read: Noela and Samantha – 26; Ikenna E and Cosy – 14; Otto and Evi – 13; Emmanuel and Joshua 7; Chinedu and Sharon – 7; Ikenna I and Sandra – 6.

The Council of Elders gave the contestants the food items they craved for.
