We have been getting lots of questions about the upcoming Big Brother Naija reality show starting 22 January, 2017. Today we try to answer some of your Frequently Asked Questions.

1. Why did it take 10 years for Big Brother Naija to come back?

10 years is a long time, but in those years we have had series of Big Brother Africa shows. The past 10 years and successes of other Big Brother Africa shows have provided opportunities for improving on the show and now we are ready to give the best version of the show to Nigerians.

2. Where is the Big Brother Naija House located?

The Big Brother House is located in South Africa

3. If it is Big Brother Naija, why is the house located in South Africa?

We have a fully equipped house in South Africa which is used for the Big Brother shows. For the Voice, our approach was pretty much the same. The venue is already set up with all facilities required for the successful execution of the show; this means that we are able to achieve high production values whilst meeting tight timelines/deadlines and ensuring the show comes to our viewers on time, as planned, and with the same globally renowned quality. Whilst the house is based in South Africa, the BBN show is 100% Nigerian, with fully Nigerian housemates and content.

4. What package can I watch Big Brother Naija on as a DStv or GOtv customer?

Big Brother Naija will be available to all subscribers on DStv and only to subscribers on GOtv Plus for GOtv subscribers.

5. On what channels will Big Brother Naija air on DStv and GOtv?

Big Brother Naija will air live on channel 198 on DStv and channel 29 on GOtv

a. Where can I watch #BBNaija in Nigeria?

The show will be available 24/7 on all DStv packages on channel 198 and on GOtv Plus on channel 29. You can also watch it live on DStv Now but that is available to active premium PVR subscribers.

b. Where can I watch BBNaija in South Africa?

Subscribers in South Africa can keep up with the show at these viewing times:

Daily shows (Tuesdays-Fridays) on AfricaMagic Urban and AfricaMagic World at 10pm (WAT)

Weekly show (Fridays) on AfricaMagic Urban and AfricaMagic World at 7pm (WAT)

Big Brother Naija will have twelve housemates

8. Who will be the host for Big Brother Naija?

Former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will be the host for the show

9. Big Brother reality shows comes with a lot of controversies, will there be nudity in the house?

The only thing we can guarantee is unlimited entertainment, we do not know and cannot control what the housemates will do in the house. But there will be no shower hour.
